The Beginner’s Guide Brawl Stars

Star Player

Like all good team games, there is always healthy competition amongst each other, and being the best player can often be subjective. Lucky for you Brawl Stars is a game free from biases and human subjectivity.

We have formulated our Star Player title based on an aggregation of win/loss, game mode objectives, kills, damage done, damage received and healing done. Being the Star Player will also get a few extra experience points as reward.

Health and Ammo

Your Brawler’s health bar is green and is shown above their head. Keeping an eye on your health and knowing when to back away is crucial to surviving in the heat of a brawl. If you don’t attack for a few seconds, your health with automatically replenish. Often running away from the action will keep your Brawler alive for longer and allow you to return to the action sooner.

Ammo also works in a similar way. Every Brawler has 3 rounds of attack that they can fire off in a row. Understanding your Brawler’s attack will help you to master the ammo usage efficiency, and give you one up on your opponents. Spamming attacks can leave you open without any suitable defense or counter.

Hiding in Cover

The enemy can’t attack you if they can’t see you. Use bushes and long grass as cover to hide/escape or counter attack your enemies! The advantage of hiding out of sight is the element of surprise you gain.

Watch out though, if they see you run into cover, they can also follow you in. On the same note, beware of what you are running into – there could be danger lurking. Also keep in mind many Brawlers can destroy cover with Super attacks.

Destructive Environment

You may have noticed the game has a destructive environment, meaning you can blow up parts of the map! Knowing which Brawler can do it, and how it’s done is something to discover. Not all Brawlers are capable of this ability, but destroying a wall an enemy is hiding behind is strangely satisfying.

Seasons

Brawls are divided into seasons that last 2 weeks. At the end of each season, you will get token rewards based on your total trophies. The more trophies your Brawlers have, the more tokens you will receive!

In addition, Brawlers with over 500 trophies will lose 50% of the trophies they have above 500 at the end of each season.

Creating teams!

Team up with friends from your friends list or club to play together!

In order to create a team and play online with your friends or club mates, choose an event and then hit the ‘+’ symbol on either side of your brawler. Simply invite from the popup list of online friends and club mates to add them to your team and tap PLAY to start your battle.

You can also create and share your team code to friends outside the game from the group menu. This is especially useful to invite new players and inform offline friends that you want to brawl with them!

What are Ticket Events?

Ticket Events are available in the 5th slot and consume Tickets. They will appear on the weekends and Ticket Events do not add to your trophy count, instead rewarding you with tokens. As long as you have tickets, you can continue playing the Ticket Event. Keep in mind that you can also use more tickets to multiply your rewards!

Tickets will only be available to buy from the Shop on weekends, for the duration of each Special Event.
