Events in Diamond Dash will regularly appear in the game and give you the chance to experience a specific feature, for example the ‘Double Coins’ one, or the improvement of a specific magic power. Events are time-limited and usually last for 2 to 3 days. Once they’ve run out, the game will return to normal.

What kinds of Events are there?
Diamond Dash has a lot events that players can take part in. The events change regularly and offer different rewards and boosts to your gameplay each time. Below is a list of the Diamond Dash Events.
Check the Event section regularly to find out which Event is currently running.
– 10s Frenzy Event – During the last 10 seconds of each round, a fire mode is activated to help you get higher scores.
– Double XP Event – Doubles the amount of XP after each round (only counts for rounds where XP is earned).
– Triple XP Event – Triples the amount of XP after each round (only counts for rounds where XP is earned).
– Double Coins Event – Doubles the amount of coins you earn after each round.
– Empowered Color Splash Event – Color Splash will affect more gems making a much bigger group.
– Empowered Black Hole Event – The Black Hole has double the power. After the first wave, another random color is sucked in by the Black Hole.
– Empowered Super Cube – Instead of sorting available gems, the Super Cube makes a spacial image on the board, it will do this three times in a row.
– Empowered Fireball Event – Three columns of gems will be removed (instead of one).
– Empowered Plasma Event – A bigger heart shaped group of gems will be destroyed.
– Laser Diamond Event – Removes gems vertically, horizontally and diagonally.
– Lucky Gems Event – More Lucky gems will spawn on the board.
– The “Lost Medallions” Event – Collect medallions in a dedicated medallion level to unlock special rewards like Double XP, Double Coins or Triple XP.
How long do Events run?
The duration of individual events varies but usually they run for around 3 – 5 days.
Sales
Every now and then, special sales will appear in the game. These sales will apply to bundles of coins, gold bars, lives and magic powers. The discount applied to the bundles can change depending on the type of sale, the bundle itself or other factors. The sales are time-limited and usually appear in the game during the weekend. They last for 2 to 3 days, and once they’ve run out, the game will return to normal. Make sure that you get the most out of them and don’t miss them.
What are Missions?
Missions are special challenges that award badges. There are 3 types of mission difficulties: Easy, normal, and hard. With each successfully completed mission, you receive a certain amount of badges:
- Easy missions award 1 badge
- Normal missions award 2 badges
- Hard missions award 3 badges
If you don’t want to complete a particular mission, you can spend 400 coins to get a new one. You will earn badges for completing missions. Once a mission is completed, missions will be locked for the rest of the day. Don’t worry though! There will be a brand-new one waiting for you tomorrow.
What are Special Levels?
Special Levels are one-time rounds that showcase awesome new game-play modes! In the Special Levels you can win lots of coins and gold!
You can access Special Levels once you have collected 5 badges (see “What are Missions?”).
How do I get new missions?
If you don’t want to complete a particular mission, you can spend 400 coins to get a new one. You will earn badges for completing missions. Once a mission is completed, missions will be locked for the rest of the day. Don’t worry though! There will be a brand-new one waiting for you tomorrow.
