Ingredient Crates

TNT Crates
These crates are truly dynamite – avoid them at all costs or you’ll take damage if you’re caught in their blast! You can jump on top of them to set off the trigger, though, and leave a mighty blast behind you.
Nitro Crates
These green crates go “boom” at the slightest touch, so be sure to avoid them at all costs! If you are caught in the blast, you’ll take damage!
Nitro Trigger Crates
If you see a lot of nitro crates up ahead, keep an eye out for these handy trigger crates that will help you to get rid of them in no time at all!
Switch Crates
On your journey you’ll see that some parts of the stage are hollowed out – activate nearby switch crates to make those hollow areas solid and reach new areas!
Checkpoint Crates
Checkpoint crates are awesome – die and restart, and you’ll start off from the last checkpoint crate that you unlocked!
Aku Aku Crates
The magical Aku Aku Mask can help you to deflect damage and protect against harm. Collect multiple Aku Aku Masks to stack this effect and earn temporary invincibility!

How do I collect Steps?
In the Game, your steps are represented by a brown token with a shoe on it. You’ll accumulate these Steps automatically as you race your way through the game to stop Cortex.
How do I convert my Steps for Trophies?
Here are the steps that you’ll need to follow to trade your Steps for Trophies. Please note that you can also trade your delicious Wumpa Fruit for Trophies too!
- Repair the Tiki Head that’s found toward the bottom of your base.
- Press on the Tiki Head.
- Choose the number of Steps you’d like to convert (the more Steps you convert at a time, the better the conversion rate!).
- Drag and drop the token in the Tiki Head’s mouth!
After completing these steps, you’ll see your number of Trophies increase!
